<\/p>So I almost go arrested for walking up to the gate. \u00a0Apparently the King lives here and well, how was I supposed to know??? \u00a0Maybe all the armed guards walking around might have been the first clue, but like I told ya in the first post which is here (Bangkok \u2013 I\u2019m OK, and.. The Food<\/a>) I was a pretty curious kid\u2026 and maybe not the smartest kid when it came to stuff I shouldn\u2019t do.\n

So they guard was nice enough to let me snap this pic. Here ya go Ma!\u2026 I love ya.<\/p>\n

SO.. Meet MINT. \u00a0One of the coolest, nicest, genuine people you could happen to have the pleasure of meeting. \u00a0She didn\u2019t know me from Adam (I never understood that saying, who IS Adam anyway.. Do people mean Adam from Adam and Eve? \u00a0If so of COURSE no one knows Adam, that dude lived like ages ago)<\/p>\n

I met Mint through a friend in Tampa and she came to my hostel when I got into BKK (That\u2019s Bangkok for you non travelers) and literally toured me around the entire city showing me the inns and outs (or is it INS and OUTS, I never get this one right). \u00a0 It was also really awesome to have someone that spoke Thai from Thailand as I didn\u2019t get taken advantage of as often. \u00a0 I will be posting an example in the next blog post so be sure to check it out. \u00a0 $\"\"$ <\/a><\/p>\n

Yup some more food.. \u00a0These are little crepes with what looks like carrots, but alas they are NOT carrots.. They actually much better than carrots, \u00a0they are shredded egg yolks\u2026 I mean who has time to shred egg yolks to make yummy treats\u2026 Well Thai people that\u2019s who, and let me tell ya.. it\u2019s fricken delicious.<\/p>\n

They have all sorts of other toppings that you can put on them, (And I have tried them ALL, well I hope so, or do I? God there is so much food, squirrel) \u00a0 Anyway.. back to it.. these things are amazing, just like all the other food here. \u00a0I Know.. I KNOW.. how can EVERYTHING be amazing, if that\u2019s the case well then NOTHING can be amazing.. well that\u2019s just stupid. \u00a0Of course ALMOST everything can be amazing.. Trust me I have had a few things here that suck (sorry mom, I had to be descriptive, I seriously think she still things I am 9 and shouldn\u2019t say bad words, ok ok \u00a0I shouldn\u2019t be .. ok again anyway).. \u00a0 and so THAT\u2019s why I can say what\u2019s amazing. \u00a0I mean I had some fried birds feet, yup NOT AMAZING. \u00a0 See where I am going with this?<\/p>\n

So why am I showing you a picture of a restaurant you ask? \u00a0Ok, by now you probably are NOT asking that, you actually know that I am going to tell you that this place is Amazing.. ok you got me. \u00a0I am. \u00a0 It\u2019s the second best place in Bangkok to get Pad Thai.. Where is the first you ask? \u00a0I know you are all asking and wondering, well I am not going to tell you. \u00a0I am going to in the next blog post, which will come sooner than expected. \u00a0Anyway.. apparently all you have to do is show a cab or Tuk Tuk and motorbike this picture and they know exactly where it is, cause all the locals eat here. \u00a0It\u2019s actually rather reasonable too at only 180BT for a dish of Pad Thai (which is $5 for you Foreigners, or Farang\u2019s as Thai people call us).<\/p>\n

Yep here it is.. \u00a0Second best Pad Thai in Bangkok.. \u00a0Holy crap (sorry Ma!) that was DELICIOUS.. I can\u2019t wait to try the best.. ok I already have, but I can\u2019t post it just yet. \u00a0 \u00a0This version actually looks all fancy and stuff, and it\u2019s a bit nicer on the inside than all the other places, but it\u2019s still only the second best.. \u00a0O I know you guys and gals can\u2019t wait until the next post to see the best place. \u00a0 I got a surprise for you all on that one too. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Here I am\u2026at a floating market.. What is a floating market you ask? \u00a0Well let me tell ya. \u00a0It\u2019s a market on water (original right?). \u00a0 You have all these places ON the water and you can walk to them on the wooden planks or you can actually take little boats around the market and pull up next to the vendor and get your food, drink, or souvenirs. \u00a0It\u2019s rather awesome (yes I love that word). \u00a0 This is the\u00a0Damnoen Saduak floating market<\/b> in Damnoen Saduak District<\/b>\u00a0and is the largest floating market in the world. \u00a0 It\u2019s fricken (sorry Ma!) huge (pronounced UGGEE)<\/p>\n

Just a super small portion of the market, but you can see the vendors on the water on both sides, so this will give you a good idea of what to expect on your travels. \u00a0 This market is open 7 days a week, unlike almost ALL the other floating markets around which are only open on the weekends. \u00a0 This is a BIG tourist stop. \u00a0It\u2019s about 550BT to go there via van with return trip to BKK (Bangkok). \u00a0The conversion right now is about 35bt to 1 USD.. So you can do the math, ($15.75), ok so I did it for you all, cause I know you are all lazy and won\u2019t do it yourselves.<\/p>\n

OMG!! \u00a0These are rice fried in a ball with Salmon (my friend Henry would PRONOUNCE the L and emphasize it too and it used to drive me nuts, but it\u2019s ok cause he\u2019s Portuguese, so you have to forgive him)\u2026 anyway, back to these things. \u00a0So Salmon or Tuna (my two favorite fish btw, just in case you ever want to buy me something, ok.. don\u2019t buy me fish, a we can talk about what to buy me another time, anyway.. They are delicious. \u00a0Like seriously, who thought this stuff up. \u00a0Then the black and white stuff all over the rice balls are this sweet and semi sour stuff. \u00a0WOW!.. \u00a0These were 40bt for 4 of them, so that\u2019s roughly $1.14. \u00a0Yep $1.14!! \u00a0 I love this place, did I Mention I love this place?<\/p>\n

Someone asked for a sunset pic in every place I went.. I will try my best to oblige, not sure I will be able to, but I will do my best. \u00a0 This is from the Pier north of Wat Pho in Bangkok. It was just beautiful. \u00a0 I could spend days just watching that sunset.<\/p>\n
